Creperie La Sarrazine
I'll be saying something about the milk churn later on but for the moment I just want to mention that the Girlie and I went out to the Creperie La Sarrazine for a meal last Saturday night.
The Creperie La Sarrazine is to be found at 51 Rue Glatinier (phone number 0297 22 37 80) and, as the name suggests, specialises in Crepes and Gallettes.
However, Catherine and Nicolas (the owners), also do a range of alternative dishes and there is always a dish of the day.

The Girlie and I both chose Steak - mine was an Entrecote and hers a Faux Filet.
I had a salad for starters - the Girlie went without; at least she did until my starter turned up and then she dived right in!
During our meal, the Girlie and I discussed the Girlie's new venture. She has started her own blog. This can be found at.... Lust in Brittany
Don't ask me why she decided to call it Lust in Brittany, you really don't want to know; or..... perhaps you do?
Anyway, now this bit of shameless blog promotion on the Girlie's behalf is over and done with, hopefully she'll think about cooking my tea!
The Sarrazine has a terrace for summer meals al fresco.
I did take some photos of it but.... they were so crap (even for me), that I've deleted them!
This, however, is the view that you can expect from there.
The restaurant provides menus in English (for those that need them), but is very popular with French families - possibly because it provides simple honest food and is very child/family friendly.
And finally, this is a picture of the front door! Now, don't all swoon at once!
All waffling aside, this is a great place to end a long walk along the canal (and a great place to eat) - the portions are decent and they don't cost an arm and a leg.
So, getting back to that milk churn...
What, you might ask, does a photograph of half a milk churn stuck on the wall have to do with all this?
Well, the truth be told, nothing at all. It just looked nice (and is just down the Rue Glatiner from the Creperie La Sarrazine), and that is good enough for me.
All the best
Keith
