Blogs I Read About Brittany, France and Food

The following is a list of some of the Blogs that I read. They mainly concern Brittany, France and/or Food.

Brittany Blogs

French Fancy • A Rather pink blog about a Londoner who moved to Brittany six years ago.

Frankofile • Frankofile's blog about living near La Gacilly in Morbihan. She also maintains a very interesting blog about her New Veg Patch

An English Rose in France • This is Rosalyn's blog about her life on the Half Acre Farm that her husband, Paul, talks about on his website ... Half Acre Farm

Blucamels in Brittany • This is Blu's blog about her life in Brittany. Blu takes excellent photographs, some of which can also be seen on her Forest blog at ... Blu dans la Foret

Lust in Brittany • The Girlie's blog about gardening and food.

Brittany Bird • Brittany Bird's blog about moving to Brittany and renovating a hammeau.

France Blogs

News From France • This is Leesa's bog. Leesa is a former San Diegan living in France for going on 3 years and writing about daily experiences of life in France to share with anyone who's interested.

French Life - Expat France • This is the blog of FranceThisWay.com. Very varied and has lots of interesting articles.

Us in France • Rather pink layout and lots about chickens, cats, gardening and food.

The Chickens Have Escaped • Scarlet Merrill's Blog about living on two hectares of rough, old cattle pasture in an area called Le Perche, an ancient province dating back to the 12th century which is tucked into the south-eastern tip of Lower Normandy in France. See also her website about sustainability, veg-growing, permaculture and living in France ... SmellySmallholding.com

Visit France • This is Justin Postlethwaite's blog. Justin is the Editor of French Magazine and The Traveller in France. On this blog, he waffle's semi-literately about travel and holidays, food, wine and anything else that tickles my French fancy. Creme de menthe, Rodney.

Kitchen Garden in France • This is a blog, suprisingly enough, about a Kitchen Garden in South West France.

La Vie en Foussais • The tales of an English family following their dream in Foussais-Payre, a quiet corner of rural France.

These days in French Life • A blog about an American food and travel writer, a reformed shopper, now living a rural, "slow" non-consumerism life in the south of France with her French husband and daughter. Poorer than dirt, but living like kings from the riches of the earth.

Why Travel to France • An interesting photoblog by an American expat living, working and travelling in France.

Food Blogs

Just French Recipes • A brilliant recipe site - makes me feel hungry just reading it.

Vagabond Gourmand • By an expat gourmand whose fascination with French markets and fairs is sustained by rounds of regional markets, feeding an irrepressible curiosity about seasonal ingredients.

Lucy's Kitchen Notebook • A delicous blog about French food. Very mouth watering!

Word of Mouth blog • The Guardian's foody blog. Beautifully laid out with lots of interesting content. Also look for other Guardian blogs - Nigel Slater's is good.

Lifestyle Blogs

Haddock in the Kitchen • Helen lives in Western France and blogs about food, writing and her life in general. A MUST SEE blog!/p>

Other Blogs

In Search of the Good Life • An intellectual blog from a 26 years old art historian who works in the world of fine art. He was trained in Art History, Aesthetics and Philosophy of Film. He is also an Anglophile and Europhile (he loves the Continental Europe; Provence, Paris, Venice, Florence, Spain, Mykonos and Britain), an inveterate dinner-party giver, and an enthusiastic bon viveur.

Waiter Rant • Not really a food blog but the guy was a waiter (and now is a writer), so I've put it in this catagory - very funny, very true and just a little bit frightening.

The Smallest Smallholding • Random thoughts tied in with work, self-sufficiency and the struggles and celebrations of a young (20 something), would-be Good Life.

I hope you've enjoyed looking at the selection of blogs that I follow - perhaps you'll follow some of them too? If you have any other blogs that you think might interest me, please feel free to email me and let me know.... send me an email.

All the best

Keith
