A Visit to Loheac Car Museum
The Girlie went to England last week; to stay with my sister, see her daughter (and her parents), go shopping, do more shopping, drink tea and natter about the shopping and..... all that other Girlie stuff.
Joshy and I were left at home to be Bachelors Alone.
So, as well as pigging out on microwave burgers, we decided to visit the car museum at Loheac - it's a man thing!
As well as cars, there are a few boats and motorbikes - and a few things that could be best described as an amalgam of all three!
As well as the big, fast cars on display, there are a lot of smaller cars at Loheac.
Like this lovely Fiat.
I've got a feeling that cars like this are going to make a comeback!
Practical, nippy and... that little bit of Italian flair!
But then, I've got a thing about small cars!

What about this gorgeous Bonnie?
Isn't she just... Sex on wheels?
Makes our modern motorbikes look a bit tame, really.
Now, back in the day...
My mates and I used to consider Ford Capris a real man's car!
Even if they didn't go round corners.....
They were cool...
Cos Bodie drove one in The Professionals
Or, was it Doyle?

I don't know what sort of Triumph this is...
But I do know that she looks beautiful!
Good colour too!
All right thinking people know that green cars go faster!
I'm not saying that I like her but...
I would be prepared to crawl a million miles through molten steel...
Just to get my hands on her steering wheel!
Mind you, these Gordini Renaults look pretty cool as well!
Very focussed...
Very stoic...
Very French.
Almost as if you need a waxed moustache....
And a scent of Ricard on your breath...
In order to be allowed to drive one!
These cars look so small, looking down from the mezzanine.
Close up, there are big enough, though.
They look as if they are just waiting to be taken out and driven round Le Mans for 24 hours!
Apart from that little yellow one....
Perhaps 24 minutes round Le Jardin is more that one's destiny?
I didn't have a little car like that when I was young (or the No 6 behind it)...
But then, I did have a deprived childhood! Perhaps that's why I want one so much now?
Now, this car is so gorgeous she is worth visiting Loheac for, all by herself.
Le Manoir de L'Automobile can be found at... www.manoir-automobile.fr
There are over 400 vehicles on show in what, ten years ago, was just a farm.
Take it from me, well worth a visit if you're ever in southern Brittany.
In fact, the Girlie (back from England and having tidied up the sort of mess left by two men left Home Alone for a week), and I are going back to take another look, this afternoon.
Here are some more photos....
So, I'd better get on. I've got plenty to do today - and then another visit to Loheac.
All the best....
Keith
P.S. The friendly international at the weekend meant that there was no Premier League football. Thus, Spurs avoided losing (as is becoming their habit!) and thus, remain in fourth place!
