They Live!
When there is no more room in the garden centres, the gnomes will walk the Earth!
O.K. For those of you who aren't fans of the George Romero type Zombie films (of which Shaun of the Dead had got to be the best), I am getting a little worried about the collection of Gnomes in the back garden.
When I moved to Rue St. Nicolas from Les Croix, some of the garden Gnomes came with me. However, what worries me is...
1. There seem to be more of them than there used to be and,
2. They seem to move around when I'm not watching!
There could be a number of reasons for this....
1. The Girlie is buying more Gnomes and moving them around in an attempt to drive me crazy so that she can seize all my worldly possesions!
I've discounted this one as the Girlie is well aware that all my worldy possesions add up to about tuppence ha'penny (and that's on a good day!)
2. The Girlie is buying more Gnomes and moving them around because she is going crazy!
This makes more sense - I've often wondered if perhaps.....
3. 59 Rue St. Nicolas is located on a confluence of hidden ley lines and the Gnomes are finding their own way here and socialising when we are not watching.
This is, in fact, the scientific answer and the one that I find to be the most likely!
The Gnomes of Josselin, Morbihan, Brittany
So here they are....

And the book....
My sister Briony obviously agrees that I've got a problem and gave me this book for Christmas.
I've tried reading it but, so far it has been no help.
I've thought about staying up all night with a torch (and a bottle of wine, to keep the chill away, of course), to keep an eye on the Gnomes but I'm sure the Girlie would just see that as an excuse to stay up all night with a bottle of wine!
Perhaps some sort of security camera/Gnome Cam would help? I'll have to think about that one!
All the best
Keith
P.S. I'll only really start to worry when I start having to feed them!
P.P.S. The Girlie say that if she catches me feeding the Gnomes, she'll start getting really worried and will have to ask those nice men in white coats to take me away!
P.P.P.S. Quiet, can you hear them? The Gnomes are murmuring - they are complaining that they are hungry!
