Easter Market at Josselin - Meeting Friends
Having had a wonderful night's sleep (I think the doctor has finally got it right with my medication), it was off to the market this morning.
The Girlie and I had arranged to meet up with Tony and Diane and their two children, Arthur (aged 9) and Abby (aged 4).
We'd only ever spoken on the phone (or via email) and both the Girlie and I were looking forward to meeting them as they own a house in Mohon (not far from Josselin), and are thinking about moving over for good (and it certainly will be good for them!!!) next year.
Before we met them though, the Girlie and I had to trudge around the crowded market, meeting friends and buying wonderful produce in the beautiful morning sunshine - it's a hard job living over here but, someone's got to do it!
The Easter Market at Josselin, Morbihan, Brittany
Tony and Diane managed to find us in the crowds outside La Taverne and we had a good natter about schools and jobs and how much better it is over here than it is over there.
It's a shame that they have to go back home all too soon as they'll not be able to enjoy the Soiree/Disco at La Taverne next Saturday. Perhaps another time?
I've said before that I admit to being the world's worstest photographer. I now have to admit that this week, the Girlie explained to me that my cheap and nasty camera has a zoom function! I always wondered what that button was for!

A happy girl....
Now, I know it might look as if Abby has just dunked her chocolate in that very large glass of beer but... that's just an optical illusion!
The glass of beer was mine (and, unfortunately, not quite as large as it looks) and Abby was quite happy with her cup of hot chocolate!.
I could spend all morning sat outside La Taverne just watching the world go by - I wonder if I could get a job, doing just that?
Easter always marks the start of the bigger markets at Josselin (and the influx of English holidaymakers.) The atmosphere of a Fete or Special Occassion was there today and I know from experience that that will remain until late October.
