A Vide Greniers!
The Girlie and I went to a Vide Greniers (a sort of very relaxed type of all day Car Boot Sale), the other day.
We were very lucky with the weather and, also, lucky with customers.
The Vide Greniers was held at La Gacilly and, although we had arranged to have a table inside, we decided to just lay out our stuff on the ground, outside.

One of the reasons for attending the Vide Greniers is that the Girlie is moving into a new house in a couple of weeks (in Josselin!)
So, the more old bits of clutter that she could sell, the less bits of old clutter that we have to move from Bains sur Oust to Josselin - that's the theory, anyway - the moneyt that we made is just a handy incidental bonus!
As I shall be moving into the Girlie's house in the new year - it was an excellent excuse for me to rid myself of some of my clutter too - most of which I seem to have bought at Vide Greniers!
We also brought the Girlie's son (Joshy) with us but, no matter how hard we tried, we couldn't sell him (even with major reductions in price) - still; there's always next time!
It was kind of handy having Josh there as, as you can see, the excitement and sunshine all proved too much for the Girlie who decided to crash out with a can of beer - leaving Joshy and me to run the stall!
Joshy did a fine job of running the stall (whilst his mother - surely the worst mother in the world, caught up on her sleep.
We met some old friends there (Paul, Roz, their son Dan and his new Girlie - see their site at www.HalfAcreFarm.BretonDiary.com
We also met (me for the first time), Anne - who is known as YorkiePip on our favourite website www.Brittany-Friends.com - and her family; YP's hubby and son are Spurs supporters (like me) - as Spurs are currently bottom of the league and look like they deserve to stay there, I can understand why a matchday spent away from the tele (and results) might seem like a good idea!
Our next Vide Greniers will be at Josselin on Sunday 26th of October. We still have lots of clutter left to sell; and, of course... there's always Joshy - we are prepared to haggle and could be beaten down to a good price for him!
So, why don't you come along and meet us there? I'll be the tired looking one, Joshy will the the Entrepreneur and the Girlie may, or may not, be lying on the grass with a can of beer!
All the best... Keith
